Wealth management glossary: Real Estate

The PTZ (Zero-Rate Loan) is an interest-free mortgage loan designed to facilitate homeownership for eligible households. Granted subject to income conditions and in addition to other financing, it can finance part of the purchase or construction of a primary residence. This page explains how the PTZ works, its eligibility conditions, the properties concerned, its amount, its repayment period, and its integration into a real estate financing plan.

Real estate is one of the historical pillars of wealth management. Primary residence, rental investment, holding via a SCI, dismemberment of ownership, or specific tax schemes: real estate strategies are numerous and meet various objectives.
Investing in real estate can aim for the generation of additional income, long-term capital building, or estate planning. Concepts such as rental yield, cash flow, land deficit, LMNP (non-professional furnished rental), or bare ownership allow for the structuring of strategies tailored to the investor’s profile.
However, investment real estate is not just about buying a property. It involves a comprehensive approach: financing, taxation, legal framework, holding horizon, and integration with other wealth assets.
In this section, you will find the main definitions related to real estate investment and its legal and tax structuring. An essential foundation for understanding the mechanisms underlying any coherent real estate strategy.
