It is primarily held by real estate agents, agencies, and certain networks of independent agents. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Issued by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cci.fr\/\">CCI<\/a>), it certifies that the holder meets the legal requirements for competence, professional integrity, and insurance necessary to practice the real estate profession.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Carte T is governed by the Hoguet Law of January 2, 1970, which regulates <a href=\"https:\/\/www.experts-du-patrimoine.fr\/en\/categorie\/real-estate\/\">real estate professions<\/a> in France to protect consumers during real estate transactions.<\/p>\n\n<section class=\"edp-key-figures\">\n\n\t<h2 class=\"edp-key-figures__title\">\n The Carte T in figures\n\t<\/h2>\n\n\t<p class=\"edp-key-figures__content\">\n The Carte T (&#8220;<strong>Real Estate and Business Assets Transactions<\/strong>&#8220;) is the mandatory professional card for real estate transaction activities in France. The card is valid for <strong>3 years<\/strong> and its renewal is subject to completing <strong>42 hours of continuing education<\/strong> over this period. At the end of this period, the holder must renew it, notably by proving compliance with the continuing education obligations imposed on real estate professionals. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do real estate agents need to have a Carte T?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Independent real estate agents generally do not need to hold their own Carte T.
